What is behavior-based interviewing? It involves asking job-related, past-event questions to help a job candidate give examples of time when he or she used their skills at work. Research shows that the behavior-based approach is effective and defensible. It also helps the interviewer get valuable information about the candidate's job skills - not just promotional comments based on what the candidate thinks the interviewer wants to hear.

Based on Dr. Paul Green's time-tested truth, "Past actions predict future performance", this training program combines the elements of memorable storytelling, practical content and realistic acting to weave together a highly effective training course for a new generation of interviewers.

Utilizing a highly creative approach, the video's story takes place in a broadcast television studio during rehearsals for a weekly business news program. The host of the program has invited a special guest to help her review a new business book on employee interviewing techniques. As they begin to critique real world examples of interviews, the invited guest is less than helpful and decides to share his own strong opinions on the subject. Paul Green steps in to help the process along and guide both parties through his time-tested approach to successful interviewing techniques.
