Parker Team Player Survey
Created by
Glenn M. Parker, the
Parker Team Player Survey helps team members identify which of the styles they most resemble and how to recognize them in other team members. This, in turn, leads them to an assessment of their current strengths and provides a basis for increasing their effectiveness as a team player.
Introduced are four common styles within a team situation:
- The Communicator
- The Contributor
- The Collaborator
- The Challenger
Since this is a survey, there are no right or wrong answers. Participants answer 18 items according to how they honestly feel they function
now as a team member rather than how they used to be, or how they would like to be.

Results from using the Parker Team Player Survey:
"We use the Parker Team Player Survey as a standard module in our internal Developing High Performing Teams process. It is used as a entry level piece to introduce the focus on "relationships" and "trust" as an integral part of high team performance. It is simple to administer, intuitive for most to understand, and allows participants to see how, in some cases, relationship issues are simply due to style differences."
