The Four Styles

Run time: 20 Minutes

Scientific research shows that people communicate, think, and behave in entirely differently ways. These tendencies generally fall into four categories called behavior or communication styles:
  • Supportives
  • Emotives
  • Reflectives
  • Directives

Do you remember the golden rule? The golden rule would be great if we were all the same style. But because people are different, they want and need to be treated differently. This program teaches how to become FLEX-able and introduces you to The Platinum Rule - "Do unto others as THEY want to be done unto".

Presented in three parts, with pop-quizzes throughout to reinforce the learning:
  • In Part One participants will learn about the four behavior styles and what's included in them.
  • Part Two teaches how to identify these styles in others.
  • Part Three talks about how to change behavior to better communicate with others... what is called being FLEX-able - able to flex out of your style and into the other person's style.

Whether or not your organization currently uses assessment tools that deal with behavioral styles, such as: DiSC, Geier, Myers-Briggs, Merril, Wilson Learning, etc., this package will be easy to use and will enhance your current training efforts. It also ties in beautifully with emotional intelligence training.
