It's About Respect - Blue Collar Version
Run time: 21 Minutes
The story takes place in a typically diverse organization. Four employees have been invited to a training session on harassment. When they realize that the HR manager in charge of the training is going to be late, they begin to look through the training material and tackle the subject on their own. They discover that each of them has witnessed or been a party to harassment in the past.
Through personal revelation and discussion, the four employees expand their understanding of harassment and its painful effects. Their refreshingly realistic moments of "realization" result in mutual agreement on the logical and easily implementable ways to avoid and prevent harassment in their workplace.
The characters’ dialogue, and the flashback scenarios presented, depict how harassment can take the form of jokes, negative stereotyping, hostile acts or simple thoughtless comments. Viewers learn how to:
- Define harassment.
- Identify the various types and forms of harassment.
- Understand the financial and hard-to-measure costs of harassment.
- Follow practical guidelines to prevent harassment.
- Respond if they witness or become victims of harassment.
