In this enlightening program, author and renowned speaker
Dr. Steve Robbins uniquely challenges and motivates people through his stories, humor and extensive knowledge of the topics of diversity and inclusion. Dr. Robbins' unique concept of
Unintentional Intolerance has captured wide acclaim from numerous audiences and organizations across the country.
Unintentional Intolerance is the term Robbins has coined to explain the unconscious things well-meaning people do that exclude others.
The approach Robbins presents does NOT blame or point fingers. It challenges individuals and organizations to be more open-minded, more mindful and intentional about inclusion and more welcoming of the unique gifts, abilities and experiences people have to offer.
Learning Objectives: - Discover how nice, well-meaning people engage in "unintentional intolerance".
- Recognize how closed-mindedness and exclusion take place, and how to become more open-minded to new people and novel ideas.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the ways in which everyday experiences shape our perspectives and influence our interpretations of the people and world around us.
Inclusion Insights is designed for flexible use. The video program is chaptered into 3 Sections and 11 Insights. Each insight has a brief discussion guide to help you use the segment independently in a short session or to integrate it into your existing curriculum.
